Concept

The design concept responds to the unique landscape of the Three Gorges: mountains, river, forest, mist, cliffs, and traditional local culture. Rather than treating the campground as a standard outdoor accommodation project, the design creates a layered hospitality experience that combines the freedom of RV travel with the comfort and atmosphere of a boutique resort.

Natural materials, warm lighting, timber textures, woven elements, local decorative references, and soft furnishings are used to soften the boundary between indoor comfort and outdoor wilderness. The goal is to allow guests to feel immersed in nature while still enjoying a refined and memorable stay.

The project also reflects the campground’s positioning as a multi-functional destination. Public sources describe the site as a riverside mountain campground with RVs, mountain cabins, camping platforms, activity areas, meeting facilities, and leisure programs. Our design approach therefore needed to support not only overnight stays, but also dining, reception, social gatherings, meetings, family trips, and outdoor leisure.

Design Approach

Landscape Immersion

The design responds directly to the surrounding landscape of the Three Gorges, using natural textures, warm wood tones, woven details, and earth-colored materials to echo the mountains, forest, river, and mist. Instead of competing with the scenery, the interior frames the outdoor environment and creates a calm, grounded atmosphere for guests.

Resort Comfort

Although the project is an RV campground, the design treats the guest experience with the comfort level of a boutique resort. Through layered lighting, soft furnishings, refined FF&E, bedding, accessories, and carefully styled details, the space becomes more than a camping facility — it becomes a warm and memorable hospitality destination.

Full-Process Delivery

Our scope covered the full process from design development to final implementation, including FF&E direction, material coordination, procurement support, on-site coordination, installation, and final styling. This allowed the project to maintain a consistent design language across reception, dining, guest rooms, leisure spaces, and other hospitality areas, ensuring the final built result matched the original design intent.
